Dear Future Resident,

This summer has been extremely busy for construction crews as they work to complete Ingleside at King Farm as quickly as possible. As of today, exterior brick is complete and the roof is moving along quickly. Dry wall is up in most of the floors of the building and the kitchen cabinetry is ready for installation.

We had anticipated hosting an open house for depositors only on September 21st when you could tour apartment floor plans similar to the apartment you have chosen. When we reached out to the City of Rockville to confirm this event, we found that we must meet life safety codes before this can take place. That simply means that our open house planned for Sept. 21st must be POSTPONED. We hope to be in a position to reschedule this event in early November. As soon as we receive the appropriate approval, we will be back in touch with new dates and an invitation to this very important event. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and trust you will understand our situation.

The latest news is that we have a tentative opening date, which will be by the end of the first quarter in 2009. This means that you can now schedule your personal home sale and move to Ingleside. Homes in the D.C. area are selling, on average, in approximately 78 days. Settlements typically take place within 120 days following, and rent backs are permissible for up to 60 days.

With this information in hand, we recommend that you speak with Kathleen or Aprile of HOMARC who will work with you to determine the best time for you to list your home. When your house is sold, you need to notify us as quickly as possible so we can schedule a move in date with you to coincide with your settlement date. Settlement dates can be scheduled beginning March 15th. As we continue to receive updates from the contractor we will pass that information on to you.
